There are three main things every Christian should do. The first two are obvious, but don't forget the third thing!

Everybody knows that two is better than one and three is better than two. It works this way in your faith, too. There are three things you need to know as a Christian. The first two are obvious…but we’ll get to those. But, here’s the main point day.

Don’t Forget the Third Thing

If you really want to follow God, then you need to do all three things, not just one or even two…all three. Otherwise, it’s like A traffic light with only red and yellow lights, or a three-legged stool with only two legs!

Before we talk about the third thing, let’s review what the first two things are that you need to know as a Christian:

We start by Trusting Jesus. We all have a sin problem that keeps us from having a relationship with God. Jesus came to fix it by dying on the cross for our sins. All we have to do is trust in what Jesus did for us.

We live to Honor God. We should live to honor God in everything we do. How we treat our siblings, how hard we work at school, do our memory verses, read our Bible, and how well we obey our parents.

And here’s the third thing that you CAN’T forget:

We Grow by Helping Others

God wants us to help other people. You might be thinking, “I’m just a kid. How am I supposed to help?” Well, here is an idea. This week, help out in family time at home. You to take the lead. Here’s what you do:

  1. Schedule a time with your parents to do family time.
  2. Watch the pursueGODkids.org video together.
  3. You lead the discussion by reading the questions.

By helping others, you grow, too. It’s easy!
